Clinical services, growing to meet demand
Over the past year demand across regional Queensland for selectability’s professional and accessible clinical services has grown rapidly.
To meet this need selectability’ now has a team of 41 contracted mental health professionals and this number continues to grow!
Heading up our clinical services team is General Manager, Clinical Services Ingrid Westthorp, a registered nurse with over 25 years’ experience leading health programs and professionals.
“Currently we have 41 APHRA registered clinicians – and counting – that form our clinical services team all of various areas of focus,” said Ingrid.
“This growing team has really allowed selectability to diversify its therapeutic offerings to reach into therapy areas including; art therapy; cognitive behaviour therapy; dialectical behaviour therapy…and more!”
“This sustainable service model allows us to not only support private practitioners but deliver flexible, adaptive and widespread mental health services to improve the mental wellbeing of regional Queenslanders.”
With its range of non-clinical services, including individual support and group programs, selectability is a one-stop mental health and wellbeing organisation.
“In particular I’d like to reach out to all support coordinators if a consumer is looking for one-on-one support and counselling services - selectability can help with both,”
Staff credentials range from counsellors and social workers right through to APHRA endorsed clinicians.
“We have clinicians now that can deliver face-to-face in Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns and even Yeppon to NDIS consumers. And this is rapidly growing with the increase of mental health professionals we are continually on boarding.
“Thanks to developing practices and technology we can also deliver sessions over video line and telephone.”
