Ingham Mental Health Hub now offering group activities
In response to growing community demand selectability Ingham recently added a range of group activities to its weekly program.
selectability Ingham Regional Coordinator Deborah Camp said since introducing the group programs the team had seen growing interest from local consumers.
“These group programs have been designed with our consumers in mind, they include activities that are suited to the interests and needs of the people who are seeking our support,” said Deborah.
“Cooking, arts and crafts, and fitness are just some of the new group programs now available.
“These group programs have been designed with our consumers in mind, they include activities that are suited to the interests and needs of the people who are seeking our support.”
And according to Deborah there are plans in place to add to the group program over the coming months.
“We would love to increase our group programs and are always willing to try new activities.
“Our Thursday fitness group is targeted at men but we will be introducing a women’s fitness program shortly.
“Our Bike Shed is opening soon and at this stage it will be open two days a week. Anyone wanting more information should get in touch with the team.”
The group programs are held Tuesdays to Thursdays.
selectability’s Mental Health Hubs have an open door policy and welcome anyone looking for support to improve their mental wellbeing.
They provide a safe, non-judgmental environment for people to connect. No appointment or referral is required.
Ingham group timetable
Craft– Tuesday, 10am to 1pm
Cooking – Wednesday, 10am to 1pm
Men’s fitness – 1pm to 3pm
