Meet the Team: Ashleigh White

Meet Ashleigh – she has been working for selectability in Moranbah for nearly a year! 

Known to most people as Ash, she brings a deeply personal passion to her role as a Lifestyle Support Worker, inspired by her experiences raising her eldest son, who was diagnosed with level 2 autism. 

“When my eldest son was diagnosed, it opened my eyes to the unique challenges families face,” said Ash. 

“I felt a calling to lend a hand to others navigating similar paths. 

Ash began her career with Hinterland Community Care, where she worked for two years before joining selectability in April. 

“I was driven by a desire to broaden my expertise and embrace new challenges,” said. 

“What I find most rewarding about working at selectability is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community. 

“I’m passionate about the way selectability provides a welcoming haven where people can relax, enjoy a coffee, and feel genuinely heard. 

Ash has a deep appreciation for living and working in Moranbah, stating the benefits of working in remote areas. 

“I absolutely cherish living in Moranbah because of our strong sense of community and the way we genuinely look out for one another,” she said. 

“There’s something truly special about being part of a place where people come together and support each other so wholeheartedly.” 

When not working, Ash enjoys a healthy work life balance by spending time with her family. 

“Our weekends are often filled with football travels, lively family barbecues, and cherished moments with friends and loved ones,” she said. 

Beyond her personal passion for her work, Ash is outspoken about opportunities within selectability, and how much her role has contributed to her life.

“It’s been a transformative experience for me, and it has the potential to make a significant difference in your life too.”
