Meet the team: Eloise Fleming
Meet Eloise our new Inspire Clubhouse (Townsville) team leader.
Having grown up in Brisbane, Eloise has spent the last two years jetting between Townsville and Adelaide to be closer to family.
“I recently settled back in Townsville as I absolutely love the lifestyle and people up here in the north,” said Eloise.
“I am fortunate that I have a great friendship group up here, which really helped sway my decision to move back.”
Relatively new to the community services sector, Eloise started her career in real estate as a property manager before transitioning into not-for-profit housing and tenancy sector.
“I have only been in my role a short time – but I am very passionate about making a difference in the lives of our consumers.”
Services run out of Inspire Clubhouse include NDIS and funded group supports and they promote member-led recovery and education in a safe and supportive environment.
“Consumers come to the Clubhouse for daily respite and to participate in different activities and engage in social interactions.”
As Team Leader Eloise is tasked with many duties to ensure the smooth operation of the Clubhouse, including administration, helping in the kitchen and facilitating groups.
“My role is so vast and I love it! The staff here are amazing and I am enjoying working alongside everyone.
“Since starting at Clubhouse my cup is full! I find myself looking forward to coming to work every day.
“The best part is chatting to all our members and helping them through issues, listening and being a friendly face (especially when it is really needed).”
Eloise has found her passion in her new roles and offers these words of advice to anyone considering working across disability and mental health services …
“Don’t wait like I did…because I really am loving it and I feel I was always meant to follow this path. I wish I had done it sooner.
“I would encourage anyone who wants too, to do it ASAP! It is so rewarding and for me it brings a smile to my face every day."
