Meet the team: Emily Graham
Meet Emily! Our newest support coordinator in Rockhampton!
Emily joined selectability three months ago and has quickly become a valued member of the Rockhampton team.
Starting as a lifestyle support worker, she recently stepped into the role of support coordinator, where she helps consumers understand their NDIS plans and achieve their goals.
After living on the Sunshine Coast for five years, Emily moved to the Rockhampton region in October 2024 with her partner, two children, and their dog.
“I love Central Queensland and can't wait to explore more,” Emily said.
Emily brings a strong background in community services, having previously worked in youth residential care, Centrelink, and housing.
“I have always been drawn to a job where I can help people.
“I felt that my experience could help me perform the role in a way that truly supports our consumers.”
She is excited about the future of selectability in Rockhampton, especially with the recent opening of the region’s first Mental Health Hub.
“I love working for selectability, especially in Rockhampton, because I feel my experience is valued.
“In return, I’m able to assist our consumers in the best way possible.
“I’m looking forward to growing in this role and seeing what the future holds.”
Through her work, Emily has learned the importance of forming positive relationships with consumers.
“You may not always be able to provide them with the answer they were hoping for, but you can support them through.”
Her advice for anyone considering a role in the sector is simple: “Go for it! It can be a very challenging but rewarding area to work in.”
Outside of work, Emily enjoys nature and the outdoors.
“My favourite way to practice self-care is spending time with family and friends’
