Meet the team: Samantha Davis
Meet Samantha! Our dedicated lifestyle support worker (LSW) based in Moranbah, Sam joined selectability two months ago, bringing her warmth and enthusiasm to the team.
Originally from Tasmania, Sam relocated to Moranbah in 2021 with her partner and children to seek new opportunities, where she eventually found her calling in a role that allows her to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
As an LSW), Sam plays a vital role in empowering consumers to live their best lives by helping them build confidence, work towards personal goals, and improve their mental wellbeing.
Her day-to-day involves one-on-one support in the homes and communities of her consumers, focusing on helping them live as independently as possible.
“I take great joy in making a positive impact on consumers’ lives,” said Sam.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see their smiles and watch their confidence grow as they engage more with the community.”
From helping consumers cook healthy meals to supporting them in maintaining a healthy daily routine, Sam’s role is as varied as it is impactful.
She also provides transport to a range of activities, including social events, gym visits, shopping trips, and medical appointments—all of which contribute to her consumers’ independence and sense of accomplishment.
For Sam, Moranbah’s close-knit, family-oriented environment is the perfect setting for her work and family life.
“Moranbah is a wonderful place to live and work.
“I feel lucky to be part of a community that values support and togetherness, and I love contributing to that.”
Outside of work, Sam is a proud mother of two and an avid adventurer. She and her family spend their free time traveling, camping, fishing, and cheering on her kids at football games.
“Family means everything to me, and we cherish spending time together and creating memories.”
With her dedication to helping others and her commitment to her community, Sam is an invaluable asset to selectability and a source of support and positivity for her consumers.
