Meet the team: Shay Rollino
Meet Shay! She has been working as a life coach at selectability Mackay since 2023
Born locally and having worked in a variety of community roles, Shay has extensive knowledge of Mackay and surrounds.
“Part of my current role is to assist consumers that come to the clubhouse to build capacity, learn skills, engage in activities and promote wellbeing,” said Shay.
Our Mackay clubhouse program changes regularly in line with the interests and needs of our consumers, ensuring attendance and strong engagement.
All of selectability Mackay’s programs will soon be delivered under one roof with the upcoming move to 21 River St.
“The move brings a lot of fantastic benefits for our consumers including more activities to choose from, extended operating hours and better access to services.”
Programs range from art groups, music jam sessions, outdoor activities, and baking, providing a uniquely tailored approach to improving the wellbeing of our consumers in Mackay.
“I first came to the clubhouse in a support role and discovered the amazing environment it provided to consumers.
“Since then I have been accepted in the workplace for all of my uniqueness!
“I love meeting the many individuals and helping them have a great time and building their skills.”
Through their dedication and passion for their roles, employees like Shay build on selectability’s reputation for best quality care and reinforce the organisation’s values.
On top of this, there is a strong drive to help consumers learn new skills and ultimately reach their goals.
