Obe Geia Challenge 2023
Obe Geia Challenge 2023
selectability is honoured to have supported the 14th annual Obe Geia Challenge for 2023
Mainland and Palm Island schools united for the Obe Geia Challenge. The great game of Rugby league connected communities for the unique one-day carnival. Eight Townsville schools and a team from Magnetic Island made the round trip to Palm Island, experiencing first-hand its beauty, people and culture.
On the day selectability staff worked hard to help the children sustain their nutrition and high energy levels by cooking up 600 sausages on bread, handed out 28kg of apples and 25 slabs bottled water. It was a busy day for our selectability Palm Island staff, but it was extremely rewarding seeing all the smiles on the children's faces throughout the carnival.
Well done to all the schools who competed, and everyone involved in organising such a successful event. We look forward to next year!
Check out some of the photos we took on the day below.
