Ingham
selectability is proud to be a part of the Ingham community!
In 2021, to better respond to the needs of the community, selectability officially opened the region’s first Mental Health Hub in Lannercost St (previously Casra's Tavern). We strengthened our commitment to the region in 2022 with the purchase of the building.
Before establishing our services we carried out consultation and engagement with the Ingham community to develop a better understanding of the need for services.
We found that:
- 93 per cent of respondents that they knew someone who felt the need to seek out mental support in the last 12 months.
- 96 per cent thought there was a need for a dedicated mental wellbeing and suicide prevention facility.
We have expanded our service offering to include our proven clubhouse program, which delivers structured group activities that allow consumers to make friends, learn new skills and improve their mental wellbeing.
We continue to provide sustainable short and medium term housing options to those who need it most, through various funding options.

“When people first come into contact with me, they are often broken and without hope.
