Work to commence on Rocky's new mental health hub
Member for Rockhampton, Barry O’Rourke MP, will turn the first sod for the region’s new mental wellbeing and suicide prevention safe haven.
selectability was awarded $3.1 million from the Resources Community Infrastructure Fund to deliver the project.
The facility, the first of its kind in the region, will provide a safe, shared space where the general public can gain support for mental health challenges.
It will deliver individual and group NDIS supports, a range of counselling and therapeutic services and mental wellbeing programs tailored to the needs of the community.
This project is proudly funded by the Resources Community Infrastructure Fund – a voluntary partnership between the Queensland Government, Participating Mineral Resources Industry Parties, the Queensland Resources Council and its members in association with selectability Ltd.
